Ariabella (2022) is a interactive mockumentary transmedia about Abril Belmonte, better known as Ariabella, a singer and dancer from Monterrey in the early 2000s who was exploited by her parents until a scandal that sends her career downhill causes her to seek to regain control of her story.
The project consists mainly of a mockumentary (link) divided into five episodes or capsules narrated by Abril herself. The purpose of the capsules is to divide the story into five main themes: her career, the abuse and exploitation she suffered, her version of the crime, the aftermath of the scandal and her life today and, finally, Ariabella's future.
TWITTER
The story begins in 2019 with a Twitter thread (link) posted by a fan account @ariabnation that explains the scandal and the artist's disappearance, ten years after it occurred.
In one of the tweets, the fan reveals that she was the president of the fan club and presents the link to the Aria B'Nation fanclub website (https://ariabnation.blogspot.com/).
As well as a link to Abril's personal blog (https://ariabella00.blogspot.com/), which worked as the medium of communication between the singer and her fans during her career.
Days laters after the Twitter thread is completed, an Instagram account @ariabellaoficial appears. The account hints the singer's return in some sort of way.
